When I Was A Kid
This is a Tumblr by a 20-something comedian about stuff he liked when he was kid. Stuff like cartoons, commercials, toys, and, you know, stuff.

When I was a kid in The Philippines, one of the best toys I ever owned was a KettCar.  It was made by Kettler, Germany’s “premier maker of ride-on vehicles.”  It was a gift from my Aunt Athena (AKA “Tita Tenny”), who was living in Switzerland at the time with her German husband and two kids.  (Hammacher Schlemmer currently sells similar Kettler products.)
The one we owned looked exactly like the one pictured above, only it was all yellow with a black seat and black bars. You accelerated by using the foot pedals like a bicycle and used the handbrake on the side to brake.  You could also adjust your seat.
Our house was on top of a giant slope that led down to more houses, so you can imagine how fun that piece of geography would be for a 6 year-old kid with a KettCar.  Nobody else owned anything like it in my neighborhood.
